I think the OP is hitting at the fact vinegar likely to be in contact with the finish, and that vinegar degrades CA glue (acetic acid is a CA glue remover). I have no answer for the OP, but maybe others do with this in mind...

Reporting back: I went with the Viper 3, and kit jaw set, and also have a Vicmarc shark jaw that fits perfectly on it. I have no other 4-jaw scroll chucks to compare it to, but am happy with it. What I do know is that the Vicmarc jaws fit perfectly on it. And I am loving the 35mm jaw travel...

Thanks. I'm on their 'notify me' when available list for the 3/4" insert, so they are an option for me. I guess another manufacturer's accessories such as spur and steb centres would fit into the jaw carriers?

Thanks for that comment. That helps explain the rusty jaws on some used eBay and FB marketplace offerings. Good steel blends aren't a cheap option for manufacturers. Noted.
