    have a fold out stanley thing I use for beating out nails and screws and it's hard as nails been abusing it for the past 20 years .Still solid as a rock . bought a mhg mid priced one to try out it snapped straight down the length in about 3months of medium hard abuse

    May well all be true but I want to make some as an experiment . I already own a few sets of decent ish chisels . ashley iles and Robert sorby . vintage marples and richter mortice is next on the list to buy . you can never have too many tools though

    hi my partners bought some engineered oak doors and I knew they wouldn't be made of solid oak but I did assume the veneers and lipping around the door would be made of oak . this door the veneer looks fine but any hardwood parts of the door seem to be made of a different hardwood altogether...

    I have this one I paid 400 for it which I thought was fair . I have seen them around 200 bur they were battered and still snapped up in two seconds . there are two versions this is the same one I have . I'm still going to buy the larger cutters and give it a try maybe try and slow the speed down...

    I got a cheap circle cutting jig/trammel from wnew . I think you can cut some quite small holes with it although I've not actually tried it . about 20quid on ebay

    hi would like to ask is osmo hardwax oil ok to apply to a veneered oak interior door ? I was worried because I've read some finishes can cause the veneer to delaminate . the doors are lpd doors and it says on their website not suitable for waxes ,dyes oils or polishes . then goes on to recommend...

    had problems sanding osmo hardware oil first cist when sanded above 129grit . It says on the bottle not to sand above 120 and if I did it wouldn't sand up correctly . hard to describe what it looked like but went white and cloudy for lack of a better word . came here looking if it was OK to use...
