Buying a fully electric used car

That’s true. But I wouldn’t entertain a used automatic myself. Many auto boxes are very complex and horrendously expensive to repair. A lightly used one with an extended warranty might change my mind if I wasn’t keen on an BEV.

Then again there’s the servicing cost. A standard service at the main dealer cost me £115 last time plus £40 for the MOT (they give me a discount on the MOT) a level 2 where they change all the fluids is just over £200. I recently noticed this on YouTube. It tallies with what a Mercedes owner I...

*Reliability and cost of ownership is more important to me than the badge on the front. My last four cars have all been modest size Japanese SUV’s. *Japanese (and Korean) brands always seem to be in the top ten reliably index whilst German brands like Audi, BMW and Mercedes often languish near...

Averages don’t mean a lot in this context unless that’s a *personal purchase metric? There are currently over 40 BEV’s under £40K at the moment and many more on the way. https://myurbancar.com/2023/08/04/buyers-guide-electric-cars-under-40000-rrp/ *I’m guessing you’re personally only...

    Simulation

Some have posited that we live in a simulation. If it is true, then the AI YouTube video I’ve just watched has convinced me I’m in the wrong one! 🤣

    Political compass

I don’t hold much stock in the results. I’ve done this test several times over the years and my views haven’t changed. I believe the questions have though. This is my result this time, in all previous tests I’ve been roughly where I’ve placed the white star.

Good point. 😊 Betamax always was superior to VHS and remained in use by broadcasters (and others) long after VHS died out. 😉

    The joy Of Citric Acid

Untrue. I’ve done several small pieces at a time. It’s not difficult to put more than one lead on the negative side of the charger. 🙄 As for time, do you stand and watch your kettle boil or do you carry on with something else. Same with the washing machine or the oven … If you’re removing the...

    The joy Of Citric Acid

This is what I have been saying. The acid has, however slightly, *etched the surface. Washing Soda and an old cheap battery charger Does Not do this. I’ve used both methods a couple of times before giving up on Citric Acid. * Others can be pedantic and use another term but it still amounts to...
