Hinge system using pegs - clarification/ opinion sought

Have to agree with what others have said the pins are not really difficult to do but getting the hinge in the correct place makes a big difference. On the version I made earlier this year got the hinge to far forward so when the lid is opened it goes to far back, but otherwise really enjoyed...

Ideas for using up various small bits of wood.

OK this is to get everyones thinking caps on, looking for good/unusual ideas to use up a selection of offcuts I have. Most of the wood is either ash, oak or sapele and nothing bigger than 1x3 inch boards or up to 2inch square. Thinking along the lines of xmas presents for friends and family etc.

    DeWalt DW613

Been having a good look at an exploded diagram, it would look like the locking handle is on the side of the smallest upright. Could anyone who uses on of these confirm this. If this is the case it looks like I just need the locking pin.

    DeWalt DW613

Thanks, thats what I though should happen. Looks like it is not as good a buy as first thought, that handle just seems to be very tight, it does turn with force but has no effect on locking.

    Small Router Table

I plan to build a small router table to assist in the making of jewelry boxes and similar small items. I am thinking of making the top out of a piece of 40mm kitchen worktop which is 600m deep and will probably go for 600mm wide. Is the use of a table insert essential as I really need to keep...
