well actually in the end (thats the bit with the actual credit card) - decided to buy British - went for the DC videos - looked at Robs website - decided - "buy from the best" can only be suspect!!

hello - I am a relative newcomer to woodwork - whilst pretty good at making furniture with power tools - i would like to now get to grips with hand tools - particularly planes - someone gave me a smoothing plane and block plane (Faithful)- but frankly i don't know how to use them or sharpen them...

i bought the de walt 707 for £200 on ebay perfect for me - just figuring out a good dust extraction method - thanks so much for all the advice :D

oh thank you so much for responding - id prefer a non-slider but i need to cut 6 by 2 solid oak timber - for furniture. Dont think that Makita would do that

hello - please can someone recommend which sliding mitre saw i should buy - preferably under 150 pounds. I had a really cheap b&q one - but it doesn't cut square (even with adjustment) and so is completely useless. Would really appreciate advice.
