    I appreciate all the replies and I believe the router to be a Makita counter feit.It was bought off Ebay for not a lot. I will keep it as an educational tool(Well it taught me a lesson.) Cheers. Mike.

    I have a Makita Router with no obvious Model No.The plate reads 1800w 20000r/min. 12mm.PC -GF15. It appears similar to the 3612. Can anyone hear any bells? Mike z

    Osborne EB-3 Advice sought

    Thanks for the responses My TS is a Startrite TA175. The mitre slots are shallower than the Guide Bar.I have talked to Osbornes, they say miling the bar is possible but did not sound too sure. All other aspects of the EB-3 are perfect. Thanks again. Mike

    I have recently bought the OsborneEB-3 and I find it projects about 2-3mm above the table.Is the solution to get the Guide Bar milled down? Mike
