    Moving a 320Kg bandsaw?

Thanks everyone...I think, rather than collapsing the roof for metal cutting facility that I don't really need, I shall look for a 352 instead!

    Moving a 320Kg bandsaw?

It's quoted on p.5 of the manual here: https://sharkbandsawblades.co.uk/downloads/woodworking_vertical_band_saws_handbooks/S1%20and%20S5%20Handbook%204E%20WM.pdf I must say it does sound extraordinarily high. I wonder if it was 318lbs and someone has taken that as Kg and then re-converted to 700lbs

    Creating hole with square mortice

I think your square bolt will strip through that hole if the 0.1mm tolerances move against you!

I guess that must be it - a sturdy frame. The motor is only 900W

    Moving a 320Kg bandsaw?

I'd be interested to know where all the weight is coming form - it's not *that* much bigger than my current but 320Kg vs 100Kg. If I took the wheels out and table off...?

    Moving a 320Kg bandsaw?

I've been looking to upgrade my bandsaw...and have found a Startrite I like the look of, and will fit under the ceiling (!) of my garage. But it's 320Kg! Now, I can hire a van ok, but getting it in/out and across the floor when I arrive? Any tips? It's over three times my current saw weight...

    Fox planer thicknesser

Hi Lea You may get more input with the same post in the "General Woodworking" forum - you've posted in "New members", which is really just folk saying hello. Squealing on startup doesn't sound right - usually the bely slipping because it's incorrectly tensioned. The finish is terrible, even...

    Anyone know what these are?

The holes in the small ones are 6mm so that'd be some hefty coats!

Can you buy replacement sash clamp heads?

For some reason I've got more clamp tails than clamp heads for some ?Record sash clamps (the sort where both head and tail are moveable along the drilled bar, but the head has the screw mechanism). Is it possible to get replacements of just the heads?

    Anyone know what these are?

What on earth is a "half hole" bead? Also, they're huge

    Anyone know what these are?

I think those are drilled through all the way and tend to be hard plastic?
  16. D

    Anyone know what these are?

I'd have expected them to be drilled right through for an abacus

    Anyone know what these are?

Firm plastic (like tupperware, not completely hard), each with a small hole that goes roughly 50% through. Should I be capping garden canes, modelling DNA, or what??? They were with my Dad's tools.

FTAGH Knife jig for 6" planer

I *think* this is the knife-setting jig for a 6" planer I had years ago? If it is, would you like it? If it's not and it's a key accessory to something else I might still own, could you enlighten me?!
