    Something Bugs Me

Hi, my drill has the taper directly on the main shaft and that goes in to the chuck. I'm not expecting an answer on how to remove it, I was just saying taper fittings can be rediculusly strong. This is a pickle fork for separating two push fittings.

    Something Bugs Me

I realise what I'm picturing is the vertical axis of a manual mill, without the x and y table. For the price of some high end drills like Fobco, Startrite etc. I feel that sort of precision and rigidity could be offered. I'm starting to think about getting some linear guides from eBay, a nice...

    Something Bugs Me

I'm looking for a drill press as mine is shot. Something that bugs me is why don't drill press' use linear guides? They all rely on a quill that fits snugly in the bushing. Why don't we see ball bearing linear guides?

I'm hoping to use this for a number of things. I have a CNC router with a...

Water based Clear Lacquer for Spraying

Sayerlack have a lot of options!! I see they also offer AT99xx 'Finest Quality Clear Water Based Lacquer'. Any idea how this differs than the one you suggest? They do coat-on-coat or base-coat / top-coat solutions. What is the advantage of base-coat / top-coat? Is it going to give me a better...

Water based Clear Lacquer for Spraying

Hi All, I make speaker cabinets, mostly veneer on top of birch plywood. I'm thinking about getting an HVLP spray system to apply clear-coat and would value some recommendations for a water based product ideal for spraying? Some products say 'can be sprayed' but I wonder if there are any...
