Hi Nev. Yes Sharpening. Thought that was just me. I'm adapting an old linisher machine I have. I've welded on a outrigging bracket to take a tormek tool rest that I had laying around. I might get a few more accessories for it if it works good. I've got various grit belts for it. From 120 to...

Thanks Chas. Interesting reading. Tragedy about Joan. Heartbreaking. I Just got a union graduate for a song and I've been messing around with it. Turned a few little boxes from scrap wood lying around in the workshop. (Windows, doors, staircases is our thing). Probably will never be used very...

Hi. Got a secondhand 1/2" collet for my interwood overhead router. Which are like hens teeth by all accounts. Tried it this morning and I'm have a problem with it. It takes the router bit fine. You can easily pull it back out before you tighten the nut up. Problem is once you've tightened it...

    Lathe conversion

Hi K. Thanks for your post. It was helpful. Not sure the existing motor is all that good. It's an old machine and done a bit of work. I didn't pay much for it. If I'm going to do this I might as well do it right. There are kits on eBay for £400 preprogrammed and ready to go. It's expensive but...
