    Sold Triton TPL180B

TBH, if it's going to happen, it'll happen pretty quickly I'd imagine. The wire nut used at the factory is woefully inadequate, or at least the two I had issues with was. They'd stripped back maybe 6mm of wire and tried to twist 3 wires together like that. May as well have used a rizla to cover it.

    Sold Triton TPL180B

Sure thing, they vaguely suggested to me it's the three wire connection to the motor. I don't think they understood I was going to open another machine and take a look. Once you pop open the handle it's pretty obvious where the connection is, as they use a grey plastic wire nut to "sort of"...

    Sold Triton TPL180B

**Now sold** This is the newer 'B' model as you can see from the photo. Long story short, bought this second hand for a job...it stopped working after one oak beam. Bought a replacement, and that one stopped working after two beams. Sent the newer one off for warranty repair, turns out it had...

SCM Minimax S45 Bandsaw Teardown & Overhaul

Mine wouldn't have a hope in hell of doing that resaw as the lower guides seem to be a couple of bits of plastic held in place by grub screws. Friction seems to eat them and any kind of resistance will loosen the grub screws and throw the blade offline :)

I just need to bump this, as I tripped over it again.

    For Sale Roller stand

Sorry chaps, didn't have "watch" on the thread. Did remind me of the time a guy was going to "pop over" because he thought he was close, as he was near Uxbridge and assumed I'd spelt it wrong. Yes, Somerset. I'm kind of near Weston Super Mare/Burnham on Sea.

    For Sale Roller stand

This will be one of those things that one day, I'll kick myself for selling, but as it stands, I've run out of room and this has been in storage for months. Length 1500mm, width 450mm, max working height 1000mm & minimum working height 700mm. There are a few rust spots, but it all works as it...

For Sale Axminster AWDE5002 wall mounted dust extractor

It'd probably cost more on a pallet than the item is worth sadly.

For Sale Axminster AWDE5002 wall mounted dust extractor

I'm so sorry, I missed this as it was posted after I'd had the email about Cally's msg so they crossed. It is still available and price can be negotiable if any use.

For Sale Axminster AWDE5002 wall mounted dust extractor

Just going to bump this and say that, even though I'm obviously not tripping over it as it's on the wall, it is in the way and I'm up for sensible offers. Cheers.

13amp, sorry, should have said. You can just about make out the plug in the pic, but the photo is awful :)

For Sale Axminster AWDE5002 wall mounted dust extractor

Hello people. I was given this in a swap for some tools a while back - didn't need it then, don't need it now. It's been hanging around (literally) for ages gathering dust, and not in the good way, but now I'm trying to tidy my walls it's probably time I get rid. I can chuck in a few metres...

Found Lower roller guides suitable for an SCM Minimax S45 bandsaw

Before I’d found these guides, it seemed to be cutting some green oak much better than the old Record power bs300 it’s replacing, albeit a bit wobbly on the vertical, which is understandable given the lack of solidity below 😀

Found Lower roller guides suitable for an SCM Minimax S45 bandsaw

I've not tried it again since finding and adjusting these guides* earlier today, will try it tomorrow. It's mostly ripping anyway, so I'm sure you're right. If it behaves itself, I'll likely delete this thread :) Cheers for everyone's input. * there was about 10mm free space either side before...

Found Lower roller guides suitable for an SCM Minimax S45 bandsaw

On closer inspection in the light, and after removing the table, I've found what could be described as a sort of guide hidden by a bunch of folded steel plates - what a dufus. I think I'm now looking to "upgrade" this affair to a proper set of wheels. If anyone has any clues what might fit.
