That’s true of the vast majority of us. If we live a basically honest and decent life, make some friends , be kind to our neighbours and family (and to dogs!!) that’s a life well lived in my book. We’re all for the everlasting bonfire, it’s how we walk the primrose path as Shakespeare sort of said 😀

Elm would be nice if you can get it. I’ve made smaller tables from Elm boards. Quite a lot of work to get them flattened with planes but great fun and good exercise. 😀

A friend asked me to make her a small box with dovetailed corners. I used my jig and router. It took me a few hours, looks perfect and she’s delighted with it. I made my granddaughter a small box with hand cut dovetails. It took me a week, I can see some imperfections in it and she is delighted...
