The FULL THROTTLE series of shows ( shown back-2-back ) was good. Watching the stories of true artisans like Massimo Tamburini was fascinating. Good call on that one. The rest of Chrimbo Telly was 'keech' as we say in Porridgeland. :)

Hiya .. just on that particular point -- have a look at trying sycamore with P/H... its a little 'shape -dependant' of course, but the two can contrast rather nicely... well, I'll quantify that a wee bit more... they do it rather nicely to my eye. Hve a wee go... its worth a shot to see...

Its very like a lot of Sycamore that JT has shown before .... & almost by default, could also be maple ( Acer's ). But as said, U couldn't rule out beech .. but I'd have put my chips on Sycamore if it was a 'must name one' competition ! :wink: Nice bowl BTW ! 8) :D
