    Fox F28-180 bandsaw

If you don't have any luck with the request according to 2 sources (on the internet so must be true :) ) the length is 1425mm or 56 1/8 inches http://www.ebay.fr/itm/Lame-de-a-scie-r ... Sw14xWL9q4 http://incamachines.com/english/56-inch ... 425mm.html But I reckon if you call Ian at Tuffsaws...

Making a toy car with a scrollsaw (or maybe a bandsaw)

I happened to have recently purchased a tin of Zinsser Bullseye 123, to prime some galvanised posts I was putting in and it turns out its good for mdf and wood too, so I'm trying that. Seems ok so far. Also mr. xiphidius is using the same here... just-a-couple-of-wee-pieces-t103952.html so...

Making a toy car with a scrollsaw (or maybe a bandsaw)

Lesson 1: make sure the table is 90deg to the blade. Lesson 2: check to make sure your workpiece fits under the arm #-o Maybe they should be the other way around. Thought I'd have a go at making a toy car. Lightning Mcqueen seems to the fave at the moment so found a wooden toy on Amazon...

How much useable blade length on Veritas apron plane?

Please STOP. The OP asked a question about the size of a blade, NOT how to sharpen it. The mans been making furniture for 15 years so we can assume he knows how to sharpen a blade. On the vague chance that his methods do not meet the 'only way to sharpen', its still irrelevant - he didn't ask...

    Some Newbie Help - Ringbox

Hi I assume your bobbin will be something like this https://www.rapidonline.com/Catalogue/P ... AoqQ8P8HAQ Maybe a pivoting lid? a simple decorative round head tack glued in may work for the pivot. Would possibly work lengthways too if the ring is lying down? or if you go lengthways with...

    Bandsaw or Scroll ?

Going by a google search of images, a Craft 400N, a Powercraft 400N and a Draper FS16A all look identical to my Ferm FFZ-400N. If they are all the same machine just rebadged then I would say its good enough to start with.** **I have only just begun using a scrollsaw , see here...

    Bandsaw or Scroll ?

Two different animals for two different jobs with only a little crossover, so depends on what things you want to make. I'd say a bandsaw is more useful but it can't do what a scrollsaw does so get one of each ;) Have a quick read of this for example...

    (Hegner) Blade clamps (pin-less)

(hammer) No precision tools were harmed, used, or even looked at during the construction of the following :D I like to get on and make do with what I have to hand and don't have the patience to shop for something once I've started playing, so with a lump of that acrylic plastic stuff similar...

    (Hegner) Blade clamps (pin-less)

Just working on the MK1 clamp holder, and have a quick question. Does the Hegner blade holder clamp the blade with just the pointy bit and the blade go no further than just below the bolt (which would be my guess) , or does the blade go past the bolt and is clamped with the whole clamp. Thanks...

    ............

Have a google for bench power supply, something like http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-36w-sw ... pply-l10br That should do you fine as long as theres enough wattage to cover the draw from the radio (which the boffins in Maplins will know)
