    Bent chopsaw fence.

I've also noticed a similar problem with both saws that I've owned - Bosch GCM 12 SD and Makita LS1013. They're very slightly concave in the centre. But, on both saws, I've fitted a longer MDF sub-fence so, I shimmed it out from behind with masking tape and they've been okay. :)

Problem with Elu Drill - Help Please

Last night, after watching this excellent video (my drill is slightly different, but at least I knew what to look for), I went out and removed the brushes from the back of the drill, behind the motor (part 4). Slight corrosion with about 7mm protruding (there's a spring behind). Overall...

Anyone used a website designer for a small business website?

Okay, guys. This first link is for the Facebook page - Charlie's set it up as a "Group" but you could equally do it as a "Page" (to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what the difference is - wizer???). Click here - though, you may need to be registered/signed in to view. There really isn't much...

You're a very brave man to be logging your hours publicly like this!! :D

SIP 250mm Table Saw Sliding Extension

HC, Not sure whether this is of any use, but there's a guy selling the sliding table for the Scheppach TS4014 over here. :)

    Startrite 301 ??????

If you ask Mattty nicely, he might be able to bolt that saw on to a strong pallet, so it could easily be collected and loaded by a courier (try using Shilply.com for quotes). When I got my 401E several weeks ago, it only cost £40 to have it shipped down from 'Oop North'. 8)

Problem with Elu Drill - Help Please

Ah. Now I'm confused... Should I be looking to replace 28 and 29 (which looks to be behind the trigger) or is it part 4, behind the motor?

Anyone used a website designer for a small business website?

I know a guy locally who says setting up his own Facebook page has done great things for his business. Likewise, he's been using Twitter to spread the word of a forthcoming exhibition.

Problem with Elu Drill - Help Please

Bit of an update this morning - I've managed to get the second gear working properly though, I couldn't honestly tell you how I did it! :D It must have been something to do with the chuck, as I was using a spanner to fiddle around with that, earlier... I was going to try fitting the brush from...

    Fire Doors

Don't forget the hinges, either - they're just as important as the door itself. Otherwise, if they failed in the event of a fire, your door might fall out of the frame and would then offer no resistance!

    European Oak Serving Tray

...So, where does your table saw come in to this??? :D

Problem with Elu Drill - Help Please

You could be on to something there, Roy. Between parts 1 and 2, there is a pinion (16). Surrounding this was a series of five smaller cogs - they all fell out when I detached the motor. I did put them back in again but, maybe they're still not correct - but surely, that would mean the...

Problem with Elu Drill - Help Please

Thanks, Pete. I'll give that a look tomorrow though, I'll probably give it a punt anyway. Postage looks to be £3, which is fine by me. :) There is another problem with this drill... In first gear, it works. Switch it to second though, and it doesn't. Even with the trigger squeezed...

    Nine-leg outdoor dining set

I really like these, Ross, very nice work. I guess you even got to have a little fun shaping the legs with a spokeshave! :D

    European Oak Serving Tray

Looks good, although it's hard to get a sense of perspective of the angles from that angle (I'm sure you'll take some more of the finished tray, though.). I know what you mean about those side rebate planes... I never really saw the point until I started doing all those projects last...

    SOLD: Bosch GDA 280 E Delta/Detail Sander - 110v

BUMP for the weekend. :) This sander is still available; surplus to requirements. I had previously agreed to sell it to another member but we lost contact in January and he hasn't been active online since. £60 plus courier charge. Any questions, PM away. :)

Dust Extraction options for a SCMS

I'd ask the same question with small bandsaw. The mod I made didn't require a lot of thought and it's made an unbelievable difference on both bandsaws I have owned (large and small).

Dust Extraction options for a SCMS

Not exactly... It was published in British Woodworking a couple of years ago and I did attempt to copy it myself. This is the only photo I have (I no longer have this saw): It's basically a small sheet of roofing membrane glued to the inside of the port directly behind the blade. It's...

My TS-200 fettling and saw/RT bench build thread...

Was that gap between the two tables intentional??? :D It's a great idea, though, and appears to work very well for you. :)

Problem with Elu Drill - Help Please

Hi guys, Five or six years ago, my dad gave me this old Elu cordless. It's a 9.6v, model no. SBA35K Type 1. A couple of years later, he gave me another old drill of his - it's basically the DeWalt equivalent of the same model but, it is much faster. According to my dad, the Elu used to be as...
