Tooth implants - anyone had one done?

Hey, I had one, and it went pretty well. What tooth is it you're gettting done? It does sadly cost a fortune, and having somebody hammer a pin into your head whilst awake is pretty freaky, doesn't hurt, but makes a crazy noise. Feel free to PM me to chat through it if you like, you should...

    Bi-fold patio doors

They look great. Do you have any pics, quick run down of how you made them? What were they finished with.

Axminsters LN No 8 in a State

Yep, well and truely hooked. It's damn hard work I must say. I ordered the BoB C DVD on rough to ready and he only has a little board to do. I haven't really ever done before so got a pretty good result apart from an area around a knot in the timber that's been tearout galore. Will post some...

Axminsters LN No 8 in a State

It was a bad idea to go to Axminster. Ended up coming away with a couple of LN's, no 8 and smoother (no 4) Spent a while today trying to flatten a 2.6m plank, never used a plane for anything like that, god it's hard work, no need for gym today. G

    paints

Have you tried Dulux at the mixing counter at B&Q, they seem to have money off at the moment and some on here think highly of the eggshell, as can take a bashing.

    Selling one-off pieces?

This is a very interesting thread. What about ebay? Has anybody used this at all to sell anything? You could also try going to a shop that didn't sell furniture but needed something to stage a related product. For example if you had made something cool for a kitchen and wanted to make more...

Axminsters LN No 8 in a State

Update, they are good. Popping down tomorrow to swap over. Bit worried as me in that shop will be like Homer Simpson in Krispy Kreme.

    Trend & Scheppach

Yep, we are usually pretty helpful. Scheppach have some pdf help sheets on their products that are more helpful than their woeful instructions, so if you have anything by them and are having issues then shout.

Axminsters LN No 8 in a State

Hey all, The ANC man came today thanks to an order into Axminster. Having contracted an unhealthy addiction to hand planes I bought a number 8 LN from Axminster given their 10% off offer a few days ago. Sure enough it came today (with some festool stuff) but sadly it's in a sorry state. The...

Planer Table Set Up, What's Right?

All, Tried using my planer last night for first time in a while and got some bowed edges that didn't have before. The centre of the edge had 1mm-2mm peak over the ends, and this was on an around 600mm edge. I had a look at my tables and when infeed and outfeed are up when I lay a straight...

Getting Perfect Edges with a Jointer

Hi, I guess this depends what you are using the jointed boards for. If you are gluing them up for a table top or something then this slight bow will help you. A board shouldn't be dead straight when glued up, as when the end grain dries and moves you stand the risk of cracks at that joint...

    Painted kitchen, BUT how?????

Mark R, there are some good responses on here clearly. Which I am sure has helped many of us. I am looking at a kitchen project soon too, I will be building from scratch and really looking forward to it. Somebody mentioned Farrow and Ball are best to stay away from? Why's that? I have some...

    planer thicknessers

Yan, I'd think carefully about what you need to use it for first. If today you expect only light stuff then somethign smaller makes sense. Trouble is one day you decide to do something more and you are then constrained. A thicknesser is a long term purchase, so what will you be doing in 5...

    TS2010 table saw problems

Doh, and forgot to say, the plug...... There is a screw on there you need to take out, its fine threaded so undo all the way then get a fine bladed screw driver and pop it out from the rubber countsink it sits in. After this hold the lip of the 2 metal parts you can find inside the plug end...

    TS2010 table saw problems

Hello, if you are still stuck I am more than happy to pop over and give you a hand. Had problems with my TS2010 too but after much time, fiddling, sheet of card, and old AA card too and lots of plywood it is perfect. (well, for a few days) Look under TS2010 for some useful threads for me.

    Thicknessers can bite

Hi, follow on question for you guys. What are the teeth on the thicknesser for? I have a HMS260, and hoped that the teeth stop this kind of thing. Any ideas?

Business start ups - The doom mungers!!

I say good luck to anybody with a great idea and a good product. The Uk provides a framework that may be cumbersome to some people, but if thought about and carefully approached then you will see growth and some good rewards. I think the key is in whatever product you have and understanding how...
