    The time

Hi, Sorry I forgot to change the time on the forum - I've done it now I assume you mean the forum software as the current site is just standard HTML. phpBB is free, easy to use and seems to be popular. The spell checker is an addon, you don't have to use it. I personally prefer to use the...

Anyone bought an Osborne EB3 in the last 2 months?

I've just ordered mine - although it's out of stock until 10th May. Have you tried contacting the company you bought it from to see if they can track it for you?

    Xcalibur - pics

Looking good Steve :) I don't think you'll be disappointed with the 806 - it's a lovely bit of kit 8) It's good to know that the Axminster wheel base works okay with it. I've been thinking of making my saw mobile...

Good advice, well two bits actually. Too late for me now!

I've had a few hard drives die in the past. It won't help you now but putting the failed hard-drive in the freezer or dropping it flat onto a hard surface usually brings it back to life long enough to get the data off it. There might be a chance you can get some of your photos back (at least...

    Alf's 10,000th Post Competition

There's no mention of bribing me though  If Alf looks like she'll be reaching her 10,000th post date before your guess, I could always put the forum offline for some 'site updates' :P I don't bribe cheaply though, it would have to be a something shiny or a nice generous 'donation'...

    Backups on the Mac

I backup my PC's and Mac to a NAS backup drive. On the Mac I use arRsync to do the actual backups to the drive. Which as you might of guessed by the title, uses rsync so only backups new/modifed files so you don't have to do a complete backup every-time you run it.
