A 'new version' of the main UKW site is currently in development. At the current rate it should be ready to go live in Jan 2009 :roll: :-$

I've had a few hard drives die in the past. It won't help you now but putting the failed hard-drive in the freezer or dropping it flat onto a hard surface usually brings it back to life long enough to get the data off it. There might be a chance you can get some of your photos back (at least...

There's no mention of bribing me though :wink: If Alf looks like she'll be reaching her 10,000th post date before your guess, I could always put the forum offline for some 'site updates' :P I don't bribe cheaply though, it would have to be a something shiny or a nice generous 'donation'...

I backup my PC's and Mac to a NAS backup drive. On the Mac I use arRsync to do the actual backups to the drive. Which as you might of guessed by the title, uses rsync so only backups new/modifed files so you don't have to do a complete backup every-time you run it.
