Time to have a go at turning

Sorry James I have to agree with the others here. Linking to a non commercial site is fine especially when his attentions were to help members.

    Leigh grumble

Yes it's a good site. It's run by a company called Corroy Products. I was speaking to Roland Howells the other day who's a big fan of PC tools -he's a nice guy :) He was telling me about how they are trying to import fixed based routers and I learnt that at the moment they can legally sell the...

is this dovetail jig any good.........

Yes when it comes to hand cut dovetails you need alot of practice but once you learnt how to do them they don't take long to cut and is very rewarding - apparently, I haven't yet had the time to practice my hand cut dovetails although last time I attempted them I was pleased with myself.

is this dovetail jig any good.........

Hi Tom, I've never used one myself although if I remember correctly the smaller version got good reviews in the woodworking mags (but don't quote me on this). The only problems with this kind of jig is it's only got a fixed layout for the dovetail pins and you can only cut half blind...

I know how you feel Tony. I got a Tormek grinder a month before christmas last year :( As Simon said, did you have to pay any import duty on the plane? If so how much?

    Your worst tool?

I think the worst tool I've bought is my Delta 10" mitre saw. I bought it after having the smaller version which is great but it's bigger brother is useless. Took ages to setup and get everything square then it never stayed square. The guy in homewood said they used to sell the Delta saws but...

    Router side-fence.

You will find that most router fences will fit fine but I can't be sure as I've never seen the JCB router. Have you got a picture of your router/current guide fence?

    Router side-fence.

Hi Mark, Welcome to the forums :) What router do you have?
  20. C

    Drill Charging.

Good idea Mark. In theory it should work, just depends how quickly the battery lasts while in use.
