Yes, I would if the window frame allows it put a thin window sill on top of the old one with a thicker front moulding coming out and an inch or so over the panelling/wainscotting. I would also extend the dado into the window box up to the frame . Dom

Welcome Ferret. I looked at these but ended up buying the Festool rail and TS55 EBQ. Two reasons. Felt I have more control and the Festool set up is a lot cheaper. Dom

I would align the joints by making one of the 'V' grooves at the joint. 12mm MR not only for the moisture resistance but it finishes better. Yes a straight edge. Oak dado would be nice and it will be considerably cheaper to D.I.Y. Wouldn't use MDF skirting personally , too much water at floor...

Agreed,I bought the Festool TS55 recently, it does give an excellent cut but no better than my Leuco blades and as Scrit says get a good saw sharpener,one well known company ruined five blades for me, expensive mistake :( Dom
