A little some thing by me

It's good to see those pictures. The original one REALLY didn't do it justice. It's a very nice piece, very well finished. Congrats on getting more work out of it. Well deserved. You produce great work :D

Good stuff, thanks every one. Hope Neil (Newbie_neil) you won't regret your offer of services!!!! Typically, all the Neils are in this thread hahahahah  I would like the list to track retailers of Hand tools, Machinery, Power tools, Hardware and woods (sheet or hard). Is it possible?

Irish Woodworking retailers (Wood, Tools & Hardware)

That sounds really nice Neil. However, this would put a burden on you having to update it regularly! Well for a while at least. They may not be that much input. Also, as I mentioned, UK are far ahead when it comes to E-commerce, Ireland is still struggling to get their broadband infrastructure...

Irish Woodworking retailers (Wood, Tools & Hardware)

Hi all, As I see more and more Irish users on this forum I decided to collect relevant information for us. I am sure every one in Ireland will find nothing is available online and just finding a supplier for Tools, Machinery, Hardwood, Sheet wood and hardware is very difficult. I would like to...

Nice work there. Hard to see the details as the picture is rather small but it certainly looks good.

    Extreme Birdhouses

Are you building a village? How do you lift them? I guess i remember seeing a picture of a tractor with a lift. Very nice, a LOT of timber must have gone into this. Do you build as you go or do you make precise plans first? CYC

    Installing full extension slides

Hi all, As part of my current chest of drawers project, I wanted to know if there is an easy and accurate way to install the drawer full extension runners on the inside of the carcasse and the side of the drawers. My concern is to get the spacing between the dawers spot on, considering it's...

    Workshop Doors

I would support Alan's thoughts. I too thought, why double doors on both sides! I have a double door on my workshop and rarely open the 2 doors, but it is necessary at times. Since you have already a double door at the front you would loose VALUABLE wall space by having another one at the back.

    Sideboard Design

Here are my thoughts: I agree with Nick, it would look a lot better with a top. It would balance with the plinth. I mean the plinth comes out an inch or so but the top doesn't. Alternatively, if you want a more modern style, then revisit the footing. Also, I think the dovetails are lost on...

    Chest of drawers final concept

This is the wardrobe, in matching style, I will be building for the same room: Work has started last night. I took delivery of 3 8x4 sheets of laminated pine and one 6mm MDF for the backs. I used my vertical jig to cut them to manageable sizes last night. Next is to cut all the pieces on the...
