Panel saw jig (From GWW 143)

Hi, As John E explained the EB PKF 255 is capable to cut 8x4 sheets easily, the problem is to swing the full sheet in place and that's provided your workshop is large enough to let you boldly swing that 18mm tone weight sheet!!! So I have put this new jig to the test this WE as I had...

Panel saw jig (From GWW 143)

Newbie_neil, this would require about 2400mm by 500mm + some space to walk and work in front of it. This is too bad you don't have the space. I'll be using this jig this WE as I am starting a project and 5 8x4 sheets have been delivered yesterday. This should make life a lot easier than the...

Panel saw jig (From GWW 143)

That's correct, no space needed to store this jig, well if you have rafters like I do then it's definitely no problem. All that is fixed is the top rail, but this will not be in your way :D I GWW 143 there is also a design from someone who built an exterior one (that stay there). It's more...

Panel saw jig (From GWW 143)

Hi all, I thought I'd show you the Panel saw jig I made based on the article in GWW 143. This is a brilliant idea to get 8x4 sheet down to a manageable size for the table saw.

    Drill press jig completed

Yes Chris, this is critical to maximise the working space on the table. I must give credits to Neil (the irish one) who paved the way and made me not forget about this important detail. Thanks again Neil  You will see that I had to nodge the table on the right of the column as well as...

    Festo Circular Saw

Knowing the quality of this brand, would they not sell twice as much if they sold at competitive prices. I know I would have already bought a few if it was cheaper

    Random Orbital Sanders

A very interesting comment there Noel, as you know I have my heart set on the Festool ROS but I must say that at this price and knowing it's very close in performance, the Metabo sounds like the right choice. Like Newbie_neil, metabo was my second choice after Festool. Damn! I'll never get my...

Great British Woodshop - What do you think now?

Ok, so you don't want the woodworking program to use expensive tools but it's okay to make projects worth a fortune in hardwood because you don't want to see MDF!!! I don't get it. Veneered MDF sounds good to me in the right application. What projects did you see Dave using MDF wrongly?
