    Yeah....got an answer fairly sharpish :D Apparently the way i was connecting my camcorder to the pc was the prob......i was connecting via the supplied USB.2 cable but Firewire is the way to do it if you want an exact copy of the footage on the camcorder and the quality i was after :D...

    Cheers for the comments guy's :D ....just got some rebates to form for the doors then onto the bottom halves. Its a sub fence i made because i was resawing some 6"x2" pitch pine i aquired but it also doubles as a sacrificial fence for the dado. The gadgets attatched to it are Board Buddies...

    cutting veneered mdf...mad idea

    I've been cutting a lot of oak veneered mdf of late myself and found a zero clerance insert and a decent crosscut blade does the job for me with little or no breakout. Raising the blade about an inch or so above the thickness of the stock also reduces it alot on the top of the stock being cut...

    I've got one too...and i agree with Jason but saying that it wasn't to bad on pine edging...it was oak edging that gave it the trouble.If the grain on the edging changed direction half way down the edge it tended to tear it rather than cut it. Cheers
