    Glue for polycarbonate sheet

Try Eurocell, I'm sure there'll be a branch local to you. Ask for Soudal FixAll Crystal Clear. It's about £5 a tube. Just pop it in a skeleton gun. It's excellent stuff and will even work applied under water! Oh, and the nozzle is resealable so it'll last ages.

How does Tesco make a profit on this mobile phone deal?

Are you sure its a Tesco contract? You didn't buy an Orange/EE contract from Tesco.com?

How does Tesco make a profit on this mobile phone deal?

Tesco has used O2 for years now. GiffGaff use O2 as well so you may as well count them out. BT now own EE/Orange/TMobile, whatever you want to call them. TBH, EE service has gone downhill ever since the takeover. I have nothing but trouble with signal quality these last few months. Can't wait...

My 11 year old niece has a smartphone- im angry

She may be your niece but in all honesty, her having a smartphone has nothing to do with you. If her parents judged her mature enough to have one, then you should respect their decision.

    cheap LEDs

They're junk. They have a very low light output and use more energy than they claim, near enough as much as a 28w halogen cap (yes I've load tested them). The LAP stuff is all pretty poor quality and I refuse to use any of it, it's not worth the call backs to jobs in order to save a few pence.

    3hp single phase motor - help/advice required

1425 rpm is an odd speed. Is it 1500 rpm nominal? New ones to that sort of spec retail round £180 +VAT in the trade for a half decent brand like TEC.

Anybody know anything about Discount Kitchen Factory

Not somewhere I would use personally, all their stuff tends to be bankrupt stock or end of line, old stock, etc. OK if you only want a few bits for a one-off job but if you want somewhere that will always have the same stuff in stock, I'd look elsewhere.

    Altering roof bracing?

All very well for a traditional build roof but I think the OP may have a pre-built truss roof ;)

Best jigsaw blade - kitchen fitters?

The Erbauer copy blades of the Bosch are great quality if price is a consideration.

    pattern batteries

I've had pattern batteries from Hobatt on Amazon before for my Makita stuff. They are as good as the originals but less than half the price. At the moment, they are doing a twin pack of BL1850s for about £85!

    ...........

Soudal Fix-All Crystal. About a fiver a cartridge from Eurocell. Works underwater too.

    Makita 18v Combi bargain?

Not really a bargain as such, it's the entry level model aimed at the medium/heavy DIY user. Not a trade tool.

Never had an issue with Magnet, maybe it's a local issue?

    Help AA batteries

Duracell Procell (or Industrial as they are now branded) are excellent batteries. I normally stock up from CPC when they're on offer - they occasionally do the AA and AAA at stupid prices like £2.50 for a box ten, the PP3 around £6 for ten. I find they last longer than the Energiser Ultimate.

Is anyone else here a Womble?

I used to be until my storage facility threatened to take it all to the tip. I think my parents have forgiven me now though.....

FWIW, I usually buy OEM branded chains, or failing that an Oregon.

    Fireproof foamy

You can get fire rated expanding foam, about £7 a can from Toolstation. It's pink

Mains drill, non-hammer, 2 speed, screwing too?

Aye, fairly easy to do as long as you're pretty competent with a soldering iron and have a basic knowledge of electrics. I converted my old Makita PA12 battery to a mains operated plug in. All I did was remove the cells, solder on flying leads and fit a DC power socket into the casing. I picked...
