    i'm the same as matt... cable into house and into a modem. (supplied by ntl) out of the modem via short cat5 lead into IN port on my wireless router (linksys wrt54g) that gives me 4 ports to wire to and wireless. so pc next to router is wired in... voip phone wired in. internet tv box wired...

    just used darlo timber for my decking (was cheaper than westwood beside croft) tho i only bought a bunch of treated 4x2s and a fencepost. rang them at 4pm on a fri and dropped down and they had it all for me ready to go as they were shut at 4.30.

    in his shop he has some proper tools too... planer thicknesser that is huge and on a cast base. looks like it 40yr old. TS to match etc... if you ask nice when buying wood he might rip it down for you also...

    only bought the odd thing off the bay too. aint got any big machines tho. wasn't into it so much at M&D's then was renting and now i'm over here with a garage i can use i have a GF and a 2 1/2 yr old so spending too much on machines is a no no atm... i am in the process of getting a bandsaw...
