Found Lower roller guides suitable for an SCM Minimax S45 bandsaw

I'll try the SCM link, thank you. I'd already found the Scotsarg and thought they seemed expensive. If someone were to tell me the Axy ones fit perfectly, I'd give them a punt for the money though.

Found Lower roller guides suitable for an SCM Minimax S45 bandsaw

**Update: After adjusting the rudimentary guides supplied with the machine I've found it's cutting pretty well without the rollers so I'm happy to not bother replacing anything for now** Purchased one of these second hand recently and only realised there weren't any lower roller guides when I...

SCM Minimax S45 Bandsaw Teardown & Overhaul

I've just picked up a 240v one of these and was reading through the thread and realised, mine is "missing" the lower rollers. Seems to have a couple of blocks vaguely close to the blade in the lower area, but nothing adjustable as such. Have I bought a wrong 'un or was this an optional axtra :)

Sold Taiga Tools rail square for Festool rails

Well, I’ve not heard from @Dokkodo yet, but let’s give him a nudge with this and see if he’s still interested.

Sold Taiga Tools rail square for Festool rails

Same one, just the hybrid version that fits my Mafell rails too (which I don't use, but might).

I should just invite you down for a garage sale style rummage.

Sold Taiga Tools rail square for Festool rails

I recently picked up a hybrid one of these because I have some Mafell rails I never use, maybe one day I will, who knows. Anyway, I have a pretty much pristine condition Taiga rail square now surplus to requirements. I'd like £90 inc postage to a UK address please, but collection is also...

Sold Arbortech Turbo Plane & Ball Gouge

These were what you might call curiosity purchases a few years back. Tried once and sat in a drawer gathering dust since. Looking for £80 posted in the U.K. for the Turbo Plane and £65 posted for the Ball Gouge. Happy to combine postage should someone want both. I’m actually surprised how...

What sort of hinge is this please?

I've made some business card cases and have been trying to find a suitable hinge and clasp, then I found this on one of my wife's jewellery boxes and thought it might be perfect. No idea what I am searching for though. One for the box makers I suspect.

    which router for a table

Which model? It's clearly faulty as nobody else seems to have this problem.

    Which router to buy

Yes, the Triton is hard to beat.

    Track Saws

Whilst I agree entirely with the "this will do the job" aspect, a home made wooden track cannot achieve all of the things listed by Woodmonkey. Example, how do you manage tear out or cuts on thin stock (when you're allowing for the blade offset)?

    Track Saws

Can I see a photo of your wooden guides? Your post sounds ridiculous to me, but perhaps I'm reading it wrong.

    which router for a table

You have previously said "my triton now gathers dust in a corner of the workshop". Which ones do you have, and which one(s) are faulty?

    Track Saws

The Festool will most likely cost you £100 or less over a period of 3 years. I don't think the same can be said of the others (speaking as a Mafell owner).

    Track Saws

If you don't think you'll use it again, can't you borrow one? Alternatively, buy the Festool, the resale value will make it about the price of a rental.

Cut long cuts without a table saw?

If you have a circular saw, clamp a straight edge and run alongside that. Track saw (I would say personally) would be better than a cheapo table saw.

    Good adjustable Spanners?

I've not bought a new one, but they can be "handled" in a Screwfix if you wanted to have a fiddle.
