    +1 for Titebond, I tend to use Titebond 3, but any "yellow" glue is a general all rounder.

    not problems as such, I'm thinking its more down to my sack of poo workbench top I made when I was 17 for cutting up and welding steel (made from 75mm angel and some 6x2 softwood, I will post some pics so you get the idea). It doesnt seem to matter how flat i plane the top everything still leans...

    Cheap Stanley plane...

    I have a cheapo wicks plane i bought in an emergency and that is a pile of c**p the blade is razor sharp but it wont cut properly no matter what i do to it....... does make a good door stop though.
