    INCA 260 Bandsaw stand dimensions

I was after the dimensions of the wooden stand that the bandsaw is mounted on. How tall is the table. How far apart are the legs at the floor and what size is the table top the rest I can work out from the table saw stand I have. Thanks

    small table saw

What about a second hand INCA? I have had the proxxon FET saw and got rid of it after a few months as it was underpowered and can only cut softwoods up to the max height effectively. I subsequently bought an INCA and it is even more accurate and can handle large pieces as well as small stuff...

    INCA 260 Bandsaw stand dimensions

I recently purchased a INCA 260 bandsaw but it did not have an original INCA wooden stand with it. The previous owner had made a rough looking table that did the job even if it was a bit low. Unfortunately back in the workshop (in daylight) I discovered that it had more woodworm damage that I...

    Jewelry case spings/hinges

What about letter box springs? You can also make your own spring hinges with steel spring wire. Fix an electric drill in your bench vice - do not plug it in- then secure the end of the wire in the drill chuck along with a nail the same thinckness as the hinge pin. Then while holding the free...

Does anyone own a Record Power RPBS12 bandsaw?

Thank you all very much for your remarks

    Forum users' Table saws

INCA table saw and mortiser/sander This out of production Swiss machine, that I recently acquired, cuts really accurately and has every attachment for tenon joints, box joints, dovetail joints, mortising, moulding cutter head with cutters, table extensions that you could imagine. I even seem to...

Does anyone own a Record Power RPBS12 bandsaw?

I have been offered a secondhand Record Power RPBS12. Can anyone who owns this bandsaw tell me what it is comparable to in the current Record Power bandsaw range? Is is similar to the BS300E? What size of motor does it have and is it an 88 inch blade? Normally I would just ask the person...

    PROXXON Bench Circular Saw KS230

A word of warning about the FET being able to cut up to 22mm. In principle it can cut to that depth but if you cut hardwoods be very carefully not to run it for more than 5 minutes without letting it cool off for half an hour. I ran into problems with a Proxxon FET and it had to be repaired...

INCA table saw aluminium top repair

What a magnificent answer. I will certainly try what you have suggested with regards to the top. I think that I will have to construct a plywood surround for the saw so that I can collect the dust a bit more effectively. The three blades that came with it (original INCA and still sharp are...

INCA table saw aluminium top repair

Last week I bought an INCA table saw and mortiser for 100 euro. This little Swiss antique from the seventies is in perfect working order but the aluminium top looks more like a flag stone. I want to know what the best way to repair the surface is. Should I sand it with increasingly fine sand...

    Anyone own an Axminster AWHBS400N?

Thank you very much for your replies. As I can't actually check out an Axminster or Record Power machine in a store it is good to get some feedback from people who have.

    Anyone own an Axminster AWHBS400N?

Does anyone reading this forum own an an Axminster AWHBS400N bandsaw? Someone must do because Axminster order a container full at a time from China. Did you get what you bargained for or has it let you down? Would you buy another one or would you look for something else next time around? Does...

    Drum Sander envy

I am currently building a drum sander. Frame is complete (solid oak) hope to finish feedtable this weekend. Then all that remains is the drum. I have all the parts just a question of putting it all together. I am surprised about how easy it has been to do up until now. I will post a picture when...

    Small screws required

Ryders of Bury sell every imaginable screw you can think of. In fact they sell some screws that are too small to even imagine. They have an internet site but I don't have the address to hand but you'll find it through google no problem.

Best bandsaw for 400 to 600 pounds?

Had a recent bad experience with a secondhand elektra beckum that had a moudly motor. It was only ten years old but it had been stored badly. That thing really stank so it had to go. Don't want to repeat history.

    Drum Sander envy

I would love a drum sander but they appear to start at around 600 pounds. The smallest size Jet would be more than adequate. Why are these machines so expensive? Has anyone tried using a bobbin sander with a fence or do they wobble too much. I have seen a fair number of people have built their...

Best bandsaw for 400 to 600 pounds?

The Record Power 350 has a 2HP motor and the Axminster of this size has a 1 HP watt. So I was actually comparing the 400 Axminster to the 350 Record Power as they have the same size motor but the Axminster is still 160 pounds less at the moment.

Best bandsaw for 400 to 600 pounds?

I am looking at shipping a machine from the UK to the Netherlands. So I am only interested in a new machine. But thanks for drawing my attention to it anyway. Scheppach machines are readily available in Holland and Germany but are 30 to 40 % more expensive that equivalent machines in the UK. I...

Best bandsaw for 400 to 600 pounds?

I am trying to decide between a Record Power and an Axminster bandsaw. I need to resaw hardwoods (amongst other things). Do bandsaws in this price class all have induction motors these days? Which are better built in this price class? Will I have to replace certain parts straight after purchase...
