    I would buy in 3x1 PAR and 6mm veneered board for the panel unless you want a solid raised and fielded panel . Costs vary on timber so i cant comment on that . As for putting a B&Q door up against a solid oak hand made door :roll: The guy wants a quality kitchen not a load of cheap rubbish ...

    When you say a hobbiest shop do you not want the trade in there ? Im asking because they will come and buy alot of timber if its what they want . They wont want to pay retail rates either but will spend many thousands of pounds a year if you can supply what they need . I think i'm picking up on...

    Clove oil and bon jella or something like that , will give you a few hours of no pain . Just a little clove oil mind and wash your hands BEFORE you go for a wee :shock:

    If i wasn't able to pick my timber i would walk out . I buy all my timber PAR so for joinery i need to make sure the finished timber i buy is spot on . Sometimes i have whole racks out looking for the right pieces :) The two main yards i use just leave me to it and i call someone when i'm ready...

    Alsford timber have just started stocking southern yellow pine . Not sure if they have a yard near you but the Twickenham branch can machine to size .

    I take it thats a no no then ? the work bench is only a few feet from the moulder so no further away than i stand anyway . In fact i would be closer to the power feeds controls than i am when feeding in the material . Or are you taking the mick out of the fact that i was bored and started...

    Where can I get proper insurance for my Workshop???

    My tools are covered for all risks by CIS , i have had them stolen five times and they have been very good every time . CIS are a co op group and you have to have your contents insurance with them to get the all risks tool thingy .
