    I don't normally get involved with the finishing as i really hate painting . This one was for a decorator i work with now and again so he made a nice job of it but some i have built get spoilt by the customer finishing it themselves :cry: I keep meaning to try MR MDF but as i don't get...

    Ive just finished another set of wardrobes and managed to remember to take pics of the onsite assembly . I hope they are clear enough .

    My mistake then . Funny he didnt mention what fixings to use in his spec as the fixings would be 99.9%of holding the whole thing together .

    Andy that is top work ! Im no expert on the Legacy , its my toy , but i think now you own one you can see why i think its great . Dave i have one of those electric motors , they are great for buzzing around in the tender for a bit of fishing , and the fish don't spook as they don't hear you comming

    Im not sure , steaming would give a stronger result but less stable as moisture etc is involved . Cutting it out leaves less structure but more stable . Soaking the timber in hot water is also another way but leaves marks :-k

    Oh well if an Architect has done the stress and loading calculations and specified the nail plate size then it must be ok . You didn't mention you had a pro look at the plans in your first post .

    You cant take the plates on a 4x2 roof at 30* and apply it to a roof of 8x2 at 6* . The loads are totaly different . ](*,)

    I thought the term Master Carpenter & Joiner was awarded to you after passing all CITB ( City and Guilds) training up to advanced craft and level 3 NVQ and then passing various separate skills tests both written and practical .Not something you call yourself because it sounds good . I do agree...
