    What joint

    Same idea as the off set mortice and tenon but with the M&T you get more glue area . You could off set it to the side or drop it down below the groove and do a wider M&T i think the latter would be better .

    Staircases

    I only get about one a year so i normally mark out the rise and going in my workshop and work the angle out by physically putting the strings in place . I know there is a way of working out the angle so i don't need to do this but i cant remember what it is :oops: Any tips ? The rise is 2608mm...

    MR last time i spoke to them i was looking to replank and deck a 40ft boat and they said they had enough reclaimed teak to build a fleet . Let us know what they have in stock now if you get down there !

    6" wire nails :twisted: :lol: (hammer) These ones i glued and screwed them but normally i use glue and a pin gun . I fix a battern onto the units and fix the fillets to that .

    I used clip on kitchen hinges so lining up the doors was easy . As i made the wardrobe in the workshop i was able to get them most of the way there before they got to site , so it was just a matter of tweaking the hinges and a small block plane .     Hi Andy :D For the first parts i turned the stock round using the planer cutter, the feet where done with the barley twist cutter 32mm . I then indexed the bottom of the square part with the same barley twist cutter . The rope mould was a 32mm rope mould cutter with two starts and turning both...

    Close one, Broken bit.

    Ive had a few of the 1/4" shank cutters break on me but never a 1/2" . Normally when they snap they stop dead but i spose there is always that one time when they don't . :shock:

    MDF wardrobes

    There is a cornice going around the room so the top was left to allow for that . The doors where made with the fraud cabinet door making set . A scribe moulding set with a raised panel cutter .
