That looks brilliant! Do you know if the material actually expands in the hole?

US equivalent nearest to UK M10 bolt

Thanks guys for all the advice, it's been epic 😊 It was a 3/8" UNC bolt x 4. And just to prove it, and the most boring photo of the year .... yay 🥳

First place I looked, but I thought £290 for a set of castors is a bit steep.

US equivalent nearest to UK M10 bolt

Sure, give me a bit of time and I'll do that (y) Here you go: What I meant was cut the foot off the bolt, then glue/epoxy/solder the supplied nut to the end of the bolt. Then use that to attach the castor.

Thanks for all the ideas. I should have added that metalwork and I do not agree. It's been a long time relationship, wood no/not many problems, but metal always goes wrong. I could almost guarantee that anything that involved boring, re-drilling, welding etc etc, would have been a disaster. I...

US equivalent nearest to UK M10 bolt

I am replacing the feet on my Jessem router table with lockable castors. The existing feet are secured by a bolt welded to the foot that appears to be an M10 bolt, or so I thought. So I have the castors and some M10 bolts, but the bolts are slightly too big. It then occurred to me that Jessem...

    Great Rejoinders

A famous one, allegedly: Bessie Braddock MP: “Winston, you are drunk, and what’s more you are disgustingly drunk.” Churchill: “Bessie, my dear, you are ugly, and what’s more, you are disgustingly ugly. But tomorrow I shall be sober and you will still be disgustingly ugly.”

    Does anyone forage for Mushrooms?

We had a new neighbours arrive a few years back, they had two boys. The lady asked us if we could pop over and advise her as to which plants and flowers her young boys should not eat from her new to her garden? The safe answer? None of them 😬 And although I had a great day out down in Devon on...

    WiFi extenders

Co-incidence! I've just put a Sonos speaker in my workshop which is next to my house. I then discovered that I had no wi-fi signal in my workshop so could not access the Sonos app and switch the Sonos speaker on. But, when I went back into my house and re-connected to the wi-fi, I could see the...

The joys of electric car ownership!

We went VW Golf. It went wrong yesterday, the air conditioning stopped working. Then I realised of course, the car is just an electric appliance, so I switched it off and back on again. Result!

More on ULEZ. Everybody's doing it!

Ah, someone who seems to know something about this. We are going to France this year and I ordered one of the French stickers, all good. But what I can't find out is how it works. I stick it in my windscreen and then what? Do French towns have no entry signposts of some description clearly...
