    ...ed Off...

A friend of mine had a builder do a fantastic job on an extension to extend his kitchen and create a utility room. A lovely job. A couple of years later, he had the builder back to build a double storey extension on the other side of his house. Guess how that ended?

    Decline in Valued Contributors???

Ha ha, I had forgotten about those! A neighbour was a professor at a university who was doing a study on young people’s attitudes towards computers. We participated and he brought round a terminal and a coupler to connect to the university computer. My first introduction to computer...

    Workshop Machinery Dust-covers

I'm not using some of my machines much these days and am struggling whether or not to move them on or hang onto them for the occasional project. So I am wondering whether or not it would be a good idea to protect them with dust sheets of some description, as I am leaning towards keeping them...

It Doesn't Matter How Many Years I Collect Stuff Just In Case ....

Thanks Doug, that's worked just fine. I'm guessing M3/M4 so have gone for a small metric kit of them. I'm sure that I will have absolutely no use for the rest of them 🙄

It Doesn't Matter How Many Years I Collect Stuff Just In Case ....

..... I never have the thing I need! I'll post this here as it is actually a screw from a machine. Can anyone tell me what type of screw this is and where I can get one from. Yes, just the one so of course I will need a packet of them. Not a problem, I can stick the rest in my "just in case"...

No, you see what happens in regard to 8’x4’ sheets as you get older is that your arms get shorter and your joints won’t let your arms stretch the full 4’ anyway.

Riding for 30 minutes or more, stopping at traffic lights and realising that your hips are locked and you can't get your feet on the ground ..... it was with heavy heart that I gave up my motorbikes ☹️

Crikey, they certainly don't relate! Current price here is £275 cubic metre! I can't bring myself to pay that.
