    4mm is a lot, have you tested the other wheel on that side (to prove it is not the shaft or cup washers) is the wheel loose on the spindle can it be shimed to straighten it up a bit? A new wheel might be the simple and safest answer.

    all dimensions also depend on the dia of the wheel, a bit of trigonometry required or simply measure the resulting angle from a test grind. Or as my old maths master used to say fiddle adjust and wangle.

    DW40, not not a typing error

    I hope it works for you, at least it gets in all the nooks and crannies, however I would have thought white spirit and lanolin was better for that application it is more like underseal when dry, we always used to do the cars with it every winter in the 60's.

    cut two disks approx 1/2" thick screw one to your faceplate and make a sandwich with the other on the tailstock light use double sided Tape to ensure it does not slip.

    Moving house - please critique my plan

    take emergency rations and drinks for when you are stuck in the snow, plus shovel, blankets etc and hope you don't have to use them. Make sure your phone is charged and in credit. Oh and don't forget trade goods, though I think the natives are friendly.

    anything up to 4kw should be fine, I've ordered one myself it looked so good. Be grand to slow a bandsaw right down for cutting metal (with the correct blade of course).
