Roof rack advice - suitability for carrying lumber as well as roof box?

Fair point - though 6 adults moving and then shooting is a bit more on the dynamic side than static :)

Roof rack advice - suitability for carrying lumber as well as roof box?

My usual steed for moving wood around (and anything else!) - the roof rack is particularly good as wood slides between the bars and is effectively clamped by them - I will happily carry a lot of 5m length wood on the roof - tied down at the back to the tow-hitch, and at the front to the towing...

Roof rack advice - suitability for carrying lumber as well as roof box?

I would take the 75kg limit with a pinch of salt - that is the limit on the classic range rover I had yet we still had a huge roofrack and 6 people on top shooting clays at one point - together we might have been over 75kg ;) biggest issue with wood on the roof is air pushing it up, whatever...

    Clarity on Record Power

the 250 range are bench top (small) band-saws all others are floor-standing band-saws - so a big physical and cost difference yes the sabre models are worth the extra - built to a much more professional standard. I have the 250 Sabre and it is a mini professional band-saw - superb - if I had...

Axminster Tools Warrington & Newcastle CLOSURES.

I have always seen them as a slightly mixed company - on the one hand they have some good business ideas and the products they produce are generally good - on the other they seem to offer some things which just don't make sense: - in store they have an attempt at crossing into the hobby market...

Is there a definitive pillar drill - new or used - that is better than the Bosch PBD40 for the same money?

The ability on the PBD40 to digitally measure how far you have drilled is superb and something I use all the time - yes it has limitations but I replaced a pillar drill with it and have no regrets

    Planning application

that makes sense - I don't know a lot about planning fees - might they vary? If fixed then arguably they are already published so the client can see them anyway... if they can vary then it makes sense to not include them... I think this is a common reaction - we all feel that if something...

    Planning application

not sure why you feel that is untrustworthy at all... an no -it is not a vague estimate - we have 20 years of running our business and can give very accurate estimates - 99% of the time changes are simply because the client changes their mind mid-project, if I had to allow within a fixed quote...

    Planning application

you won't get a more accurate one... It is worth understanding the components: - their fee (£1,500 + VAT) - Local Planning Authority fees - you just pay what the council charge - External consultant fees - this covers them if for example you need a structural engineer / planners require a bat...

SawStop, stops on contact with skin is coming to Europe soon!

That will depend on your perspective and I am sure they will have done their research... currently you can have the tech. in a more expensive Festool saw, and now this which is cheaper... If I were looking for a TS - this would be high on my list - currently it is on the banned list as my wife...

A more solid base - maybe with a drawer for storage - would work well - your version looks so much nicer than others I have seen, so worth persevering!

    laser cutting / etching

slightly depends - there are plenty of open lasers that will take any length item / even have conveyor belts to move the item (e.g. the xTool F1) there is new technology out for curves - so you can either use a rotary (laser thinks it is flat, the rotary tool moves the item to the right place)...

That game / the principle of it is reasonably common if you look on pinterest... Not sure though that any are as beautiful as yours! I developed a balance game earlier this year (www.tippit.co.uk): Now being produced semi-commercially - though currently still by hand (and expensive!) the...

    REJECTION OF VEHICLE INSURANCE CLAIMS.

An insurance company would still have to show that the windows materially affected the outcome of the accident etc. The reality is that they can't retrospectively say that it shouldn't have passed an MOT if it did And even without an MOT - you are still insured - an insurance company can only...
