    Face frame hinges

Just be aware of the 70mm minimum depth of face-frame (‘stationary panel’ in the drawing) with those hinges - if that’s too wide aesthetically, you may be better off returning the face-frame into the carcass and mounting regular cranked hinges on the return. HTH P

    18g Cordless nailer suggestions?

I have the Ryobi Air Strike 16g nailer, and the smaller narrow crown stapler. The nailer is OK but big, so not easy to get into tighter spaces. I find it slow in use as well. The stapler is lovely though - a bit smaller & quite a bit lighter than the 16g nailer, it just feels a lot better in the...

    Pricing help!

I suspect there's room for both. Yes, he probably needs to speed up, but he absolutely needs to be charging more. Seem to recall you writing once, Bob, that when you were starting out doors took you ages because you didn't have enough clamps. I have a small workshop - there's not much I can do...

Woodworking and YouTube and Peter Millard

I think the algorithms go up a gear when you hit 10k subs, plus when you get a popular video (my 'clamping squares' was a surprise hit) that popularity puts you higher up the 'recommended' list - virtuous circle, and all that. Hit 11k subs last night, woo hoo! And yes, you absolutely need to...

Woodworking and YouTube and Peter Millard

Thanks again everyone! Really good to hear that my videos seem to be striking the right notes. And if you guys enjoy the mistakes, then there's an absolute howler coming up this week, no spoilers... :/ Nobody's more surprised (and delighted) than I am that the channel has grown as fast as it...

    Crisp internal corner

Just to add that I do this kind of thing frequently in MR MDF and Birch ply, and the tracksaw/tablesaw followed by a sharp chisel works very well.

    Nailers...confused!

+1 to all the above. I'll just add... First fix (aka framing nailer - American??) 2.8mm thick nails from 50mm - 90mm, usually paper-collated. Construction use, stud walls ('framing') etc... Second fix (aka 'finish' nailer) 16g (1.2mm) 32 - 63mm long, stripnails, can be straight or angled. Used...

Got it, thanks - I'll be sure to try some out.

    Dominos and glue..

Polyten (by Cascamite, btw) is waterproof, and whilst cost isn't too much of a consideration, it's quite economical when you buy it in 5-litre sizes - don't know if D4 is available in that size, a quick Google didn't throw up any likely sources?? If you know of any it'd be a big help if you...

    Dominos and glue..

Not a fan of PU unless I absolutely have to; I use Polyten PVA as my 'go-to' glue, works really well, fast grab etc... Recommended.

Woodworking and YouTube and Peter Millard

Thanks Mick! I'm happy to hear that my delivery comes across as 'relaxed' - in reality it's anything but! I've been a member on UKW far longer than the 9 months I've been on YouTube, so I've gone out of my way not to promote my channel here, other than a general link in my signature. As my...

    Drawer Construction

I've used MR MDF for drawers before, but only when I know the loading will be very light. Birch Ply is generally a better bet. Haven't used buller - they look a bit expensive compare with e.g. manddonline.co.uk

Are Ridgid Table saws available in the UK?

Ridged and AEG are bands owned by Hong Kong-based TechTronic Industries (TTI) who also own the Milwaukee and Ryobi tool brands, as well as Hoover, Dirt Devil and Vax (and others - http://www.ttigroup.com/en/our_brands/) AEG are widely available in the UK. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

    Festool DX93e

For getting into corners, yes - it's a 'proper' orbital sander too. I find the Rotex 90 too tall to be useful in many of the areas where I need a detail sander.
