    Paint spray guns

I have a small (8 litre) ‘silent’ Hyundi - not silent, but decently quiet. Too small to spray with or do much else aside from tyres, nails and blowing dust around, but that’s pretty much all I need it for. I’d be cautious about ‘going for 100-litres…’ on the off-chance you might want to do some...

Silverline nailers still going strong here. 👍

Knock down Domino joinery. Great idea?

Pegged loose tenons aka the Phoenician joint - it's been around for a while... As for the Peanut 2, yes I've used them a bit. They're not a knock-down connector as such - the fixing bears against the material which will wear over time, depending on the material of course - but it was developed...

Wanted Single Festool connectors for son’s school A-Level project

No problem. I've got a Domino Connect corner piece and inline panel connector, some Peanut 2s, Lamello Clamex and Tenso P14, and some Clamax P-20 - the biscuit jointer ones - and some FastCap FASTenon - the hammer-in ones - if you want to try them. Figured they were all worth having if only to...

Wanted Single Festool connectors for son’s school A-Level project

I can do you some peanuts but if you’re going to make the joints then you’ll need the proprietary bit and I only have one of those at the minute. Happy to send it over but I will need that back as it’s pricey!

Wanted Single Festool connectors for son’s school A-Level project

Hey Sammy. Apologies - head down and grafting all day. I can take a look tomorrow when I’m in the workshop and see what I have - you’re welcome to anything that’s useful! Were there any other connectors he was interested in?

    Clamps

If you can live with a slower process then the Peanut 2 fitting may be worth a look Roy. Easy enough to make your own jig, and intelligent fixings can supply a bit and starter pack of fittings.

    Buying a used domino df500

In additional to all the above - careful checks for general wear and tear, signs of damage from impact etc.. etc.. the year of manufacture is actually on the label alongside the serial number so it’s easy to see if it’s still under warranty. Festool offer 3-year theft protection to all new tools...

It’s the same revenue share from Premium as Adsense - 55/45 in favour of the content creators.

    TV advertising quality!

Haven’t watched live ad-supported TV for some time, but here’s a wild idea; if you watch enough YouTube that the ads bother you, pay for premium. Or carry on blocking the ads - just don’t start bleating when your favourite content goes behind a paywall. 🤷‍♂️ Joining the dots isn’t hard. 👍

dewalt track saw on mafell/bosch track

No, sorry. Pretty much any saw can use Festool (and the latest Evolution G2) tracks and many saws can use Makita-pattern tracks, but you can only use Mafell and Bosch tracks with those saws, just like you can only use DeWalt tracks with the DeWalt.

    The best portable table saw?

I’ve never used the DeWalt, so not in a position to say I’m afraid.

    Cutting Sizes on a MFT

Assuming you’re after the crosscut size, from memory It’s about 550mm just using benchdogs as the ‘fence’, so take away 20mm for the fence and you’re about there. You can extend it a bit by adding holes for the rail to bear against between the outside row of holes and the edge of the MFT top -...

    The best portable table saw?

I have the Festool CSC SYS 50. Very happy with it; compact, quiet, sliding table, good quality and great dust collection. But - small capacity, no fine adjustment on the fence, battery only, and on the pricey side.

Info needed re Parkside plunge/track saw

The G2 rails are available now; they’re excellent - and I’ll have to redo that video now! 😂👍

    Selling advice

As mentioned before, it takes no time to download the free Zettle app which uses your phone as a contactless POS terminal - I think folks are more likely to tap and pay than to want do a bank transfer. Cash is great, but you have to manage it, take a 'float' and deal with change. If you have a...

    Selling advice

A few observations, and for clarity I have a few years selling on Etsy; before I moved to a Shopify store I also looked at many other options. It felt like all the easy payment processing outfits will give the option of a simple page to display your products and link to. Some mailing list...

Trend Make Domino dowels now! Just found out

Yep, smaller packs are good if you need a variety of sizes, and also a unique 6x30 tenon. Video was six months ago or thereabouts:- Not Dominos [**Gifted/Ad] [video 544] - Has been pointed out to me that the current packs have a photo of the original 10MW Loose Tenon Jig in use 😂

    Stanley Compressor

I had a small Stanley and it was so loud it was almost unusable; the Hyundai is a completely different animal. Owned mine getting on for 3 years now, no reliability issues whatsoever. Recommended.
