    How much?

Yep, had the same problem with my Transit clutch in that cost me over £700! I am glad the damn thing went bang in the end as it was costing me a fortune. Isn't progress wonderful.

    Saxton aftermarket oscillating-tool blades

I have been using the Saxon blades in my Bosch for over a year now and rate them as brilliant for the price. I only use the blades for wood or laminate and on occasion plaster but they have all worked fine and seem to last well enough.

    Under stairs cupboards

I would normally shoot them in on site but with these being painted they are built to size. Having said that these doors will be lay on so not so much of a problem this time. They will also be 2" from the floor to allow for a carpet going down.

    Under stairs cupboards

All of my MDF carcasses are jointed with the Domino Keith. After being out of the shop yesterday I got back to this job today. I got the book case ready for primer. Then I got cracking on the doors. Gave me a bit of a head scratching with the angles but got there in the end and had all four of...

I saw something nasty in the woodshed

    A few recent jobs

Thanks Neil. It doesn't show in the photo but the top is almost non existent as it has a large hole and vent holes in and the bottom has a large cut out to allow an air flow and room for the pipes.

    A few recent jobs

I have just finished fitting the units today and as promised here are some shots of them in place. First up was the Boiler cabinet. The corner unit went into the bathroom. The lower cupboard is removable to allow access to the bath fittings. I also built this door and frame for an alcove on...

    An amazing woman!

I did forget to mention that this lady is a teacher and does not do this for a living! Now that is the sort of assistant I could do with. :D

    An amazing woman!

Today I have been out fitting some pieces I made at a terraced cottage. One of the units is the tall corner cabinet I posted on here recently and as usual I was expecting problems with non square corners and had taken some trim strips to account for this. So I was astounded when it fitted...

    Under stairs cupboards

I made a start on my next job yesterday, some under stairs cupboards. These will have push to open doors in a shaker style and a book case with a set of drawers below. these are all in painted MDF again. I got as far as building the drawer unit carcass and the drawer fronts. I then got all the...

Coping saw - push or pull?

I have always used one like a fret saw on the pull stroke. I always hang the piece over the edge of the bench and work with the saw vertical cutting on the pull stroke. Wrong or right it works for me and just feels comfortable.

    Toy box

I use the laminated pine sheets when I make toy boxes as it is tough enough and light enough and will last well. i also always use these soft closers: http://www.eurofitdirect.co.uk/toy-box-lid-stay They come in right and left hand and are also adjustable. They are perfect for a toy box lid...

    New legislation.

 Have to agree with you on the assault on the English language. Another favourite of theirs is 'Compartmentalisation' Where do they get words from!?
