    Another quickie!

I got the boiler cabinet in a finish and ready for fitting. Not sure when this will be yet as I have to contact the customer for a date.

    Festool Domino dust extraction?

Yep, Henry vacuum here as well. I use the hose that came with my air powered ROS which fits the Domino a treat and fits the Henry hose too. :D

    Dovetail jigs

I recommend the Dakota one from Rutlands, it's just an ally plate and a couple of cutters but is faultless and so easy to set up. JMHO.

    Not another WIP! (now fitted)

Actually I would normally cut the wall side especially on something like wardrobes where there is a long strip but with these having the columns in front and it being a pretty short length the wall was straight enough to do it this way. When the strip was checked against the wall if there had...

    Not another WIP! (now fitted)

Right this is mainly for Melinda. I went to fit the book case today and took some shots of the fitting of it. I first placed the carcase in position using the columns against the skirting to centralise it. (After ensuring the cabinet was against the back wall and plumb) i then took one of the...

    Another quickie!

Well Keith, this one was built from a quick sketch on my pad but normally I draw up my own plans in Sketchup after doing a rough sketch and dimensions in my pad on my first visit. This was such a simple build it was hardly worth doing anything in Sketchup really.

Another set of robes (finally finished)

I am not sure about the thickness but it is very thin. At a guess I would say it's about 1/64". when I lip the panels I use the router with a base plate to allow it to trim it flush with the veneer, then I only use 150 grit to sand it as you are correct it is very easy to sand through it.

    Another quickie!

I came to a stop today as the mirror hasn't arrived for the bathroom cabinet yet and I need to check some details with the oak wardrobe customer.....so, I started work on my next commission which is a cabinet to box a boiler in. This was a job from the customer with the small gate. It is just a...

the price of oak ledged doors

I work with a furniture company who imports oak doors from China. (Along with other pieces of furniture) and I too have to admit some of them are pretty good. He ships them in containers and pays very little for them. China has the one thing we don't over here and that is very low overheads...

Another set of robes (finally finished)

With the carcasses ready for the finish I made a start on the cornice today and got them assembled. I then started machining up the timber for the doors.

Another set of robes (finally finished)

Yesterday I started work on another set of wardrobes. Again they are in oak veneered MDF. This one is a little different as one of the 'robes' houses the immersion heater and associated pipework, for this reason one of them will have to be built on site as a framework rather than the usual...

    Morticing machine advice

This is mine, another second hand buy. It is a Record Ridgeway and is a solid bit of kit. This will also handle up to 3/4" chisels although I have only used it up to 1/2" myself.

    Cherry cabinets

    50l compressor ok for spraying?

Using a spray gun on that size receiver wouldn't be advisable as the compressor would be running continuously. As has been stated above 100 L would be far better.

    Another tween job!

I went to price up a job this morning from a customer who has used me before a few times. it was to build a cabinet to house the boiler and pump. He also asked me if I could build him a small gate and fit a couple of panels to the back garden. He stated the gate is a priority as a couple are...
