First mitre saw, EVO SMS255+ or Bosch GCM8?

I too would be thinking of something larger, if my intention were to use it for construction. And I’d agree that you’ll find the limits of a small, budget saw, pretty quickly.

    Vice (again)

You might be comparing apples and oranges there. You’ll get a 7” vice for just over £60, from Axminster (they’re currently on sale), but I doubt it’s of the same quality as an old Record that you’ll pick up for £30

    Small shop dust collection system

    01332 after market riving knife

I think that when considering using a device, method or technique which requires the removal or adaptation of safety devices, we must ask ourselves why we’re thinking of doing so, and whether there is a better way of approaching the task. I think that in the case of a sled, can one not be...

    Axminster AW106PT tables problem

However, within reason, solving those problems can be seen as an investment. The same can not be said of cheap new machinery.

I too am an advocate for not modifying safety features

    Axminster AW106PT tables problem

I have an old cast iron machine now, but in the past, with relatively lightweight machines such as this, I found it best to start by levelling the from the bottom up, in such a way as no twist can be introduced into the body of the machine. I first realised this with a P/T, which I ended up...

    Decent Affordable jobsite Table saw

I’m confused by the need for portability, and yet it being built into a bench. However, this is what I would do: 1. Buy this: https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/threads/wadkin-ags-10.142032/ 2. Remove the two table extensions 3. Remove the lower half of the body That will then be an excellent...
