Thank you for your 2 great replies. Main reason I suppose I'm looking at VM's is to try out Linux I hear so many good things about it, so I suppose it's curiosity with a view to change my system that is driving me :D

I will have a look at VMlite and Hyper-V tomorrow, way too late to be messing with it now. :D

I don't really know that much about Linux and hope to install it on a virtual machine so I can learn it as I go along so to speak :D at least if I mess up no harm has been done. I don't have a clue how I would install Linux on my computer, I am old school and don't know what will happen once...
