    Router Collet Reducers - Any Good or Avoid?

    Have a 3/8" Shank bit but the MacAllister (B&Q/Kingfisher plc own brand) only came with 1/4", 8mm & 1/2" collets. Anybody know what type of fitting the actual collet is on these? With no product info from B&Q wondered if Axminster reducer sleeves are worthwhile or will it bugger my 1/2"...

    Hi Paul, Thanks for the speedy post. Will definately invest in a square subbase - can see it would be ideal in lots of situations. These routers seem such a versatile tool, probably end up with dozens of add-ons! :D Cheers Yan
