    Texturing kit

I have been looking at various texturing tools over the last few months and have almost bought something. https://www.axminstertools.com/axminster-woodturning-spiralling-and-texturing-tools-for-micro-handle-107125 It needs a handle but is still a lot cheaper than the Sorby one and can be added...

I have the R.P. DP25B and was thinking about the same thing. I am not looking forward to removing the existing one as I have heard that it is not easy? Please let us know if you find a suitable one and how it goes with the fitting.

How many active turners remain in UKWorkshop ?

I am about three years in with a R.P. DLM 320. It has not skipped a beat apart from the rev counter being a bit flaky. I have spent a fortune on tools and all the other bits 'n pieces that we need and don't regret a penny. I try to turn everyday and find it the most absorbing and satisfying...

    Chuck Advice for Turning Novice

I am very happy with my SK114, I also have a RP SC3 and the difference in quality is large. The closed back helps and it is as smooth as butter. I should have got the SK114 first but you will find that having at least two chucks is very useful. As is reverse, great for sanding and decorative work.

    Which One?

I am not familiar with the W824 but i had a look and it seems like a decent machine and a good price. Remember to factor in a stand when choosing. I have been using a R. Power DML 320 almost everyday for three years with no problems at all. There was a good deal with the stand included at the time.

    Axminster ring centres tip diameter?

I treated myself to a pair of these last week with the chuck adaptor. I am very happy with them, another bonus is the extra reach/space they provide at the drive end.
