    Anyone use Howden's?

I have a mate who is a professional and he uses and rates Howdens kitchens. Not sure if that helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pricing online - where to buy construction timber

I'm happy to sacrifice some cost for convenience. Basically I just want to go to one site click and order all the items I want and then pay. Like I do with every other online system! :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lost and Found

I find pencils go walkabout in the workshop. I buy a pack of 10 and 2 days later I can't find one. Yet I'm the only one who goes in there and I tidy up after each session! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lost and Found

I don't know where you've put it but I know it will be in the last place you look! Also if you want a head torch Cotswold outdoor near me were flogging of Petzl Tikka for £15 which is a bargain - normally £35. Only in blue though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Which screws

I've just bought one of the Festool systainers with the removable boxes for screws. So I'm going to buy a multi pack of screws to fill it with, the question is which ones? I've noticed screwfix do a multipack of 1400 for 16.99...

Do they do online quotes and prices though? I just want to buy stuff and not to have to make send off for quotes. Thanks for the input so far.

Pricing online - where to buy construction timber

I'm looking to buy some pretty plain timber to build bed frames (for loft beds) I'm looking for 6x2, 2x2 and some 18mm ply sheets. I'm getting very frustrated with supplier who don't put their prices online and whereby I have to build my list and then send off for a quote. Can anyone suggest...

What tool did you buy today?

Sorry this seems to have gone off topic. Mine is going back to Axminster and they'll sort it. I was only posting the pics to show the issue I had as it might be the same as the other poster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What tool did you buy today?

No, the riving knives are perfectly flat. Mine is going back to Axminster as soon as I get a box big enough to stick it in. It is dangerous, especially when ripping as you have to force the wood past the riving knife. Essentially you're pushing the riving knife square with the wood. The pressure...

What tool did you buy today?

When I first raised this with Axminster they sent me a new riving knife but it made no difference. Mine appears to be out in the vertical and horizontal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Unexplainable Happenings?

We have a cat, he's an average size cat, but there are times when I'm in the house with just him and I hear him coming down the stairs and I'm convinced one of the kids is in. It doesn't take a lot to make a noise or for an animal to knock over a tub. If there really was ghosts that interacted...

    Crown Paints

I was in B&Q at the weekend and wanted to get some colour charts for Crown paints. I only ever buy crown paint as my Dad worked in the trade and told me to avoid own brand paints and having seen a neighbour and his B&Q painted walls I didn't need a lot of convincing. Anyway, I couldn't find any...

    Loft bed support

The front will be clad with board. I've actually got two to make. One will have "walls" on either side of the front face (so support on this one isn't much of an issue as the "walls" will have uprights behind them). On one wall will be the ladder and on the other will be a climbing wall. The...

    Loft bed support

The height isn't an issue as there will be a rail on the inside to support the bed slats so making it 6 x 2 is no issue, i can certainly do that.
