    REQUEST: Need 2 pens turned.

Hi All I need 2 pens turned from curly maple and walnut which I will supply, glossy finish please. I am looking for the workings to be high end and not the standard gold plated ones. Length to be close to 160mm, would like the walnut to be if possible about 70% of the pen, this is for a...

    Hell's teeth...not ANOTHER box!

Very nice Rob with nice clean workmanship, the ebony is a nice feature perhaps a bit thick - but I agree there needs to be a balance (not feet) perhaps a small inlay on the lid or a fine ebony border at the shoulder where the side meets the lid. Cheers Ian

    Best digital calipers

Thanks will check out the Mitutoyo set - I don't machine to tight specs like 0.001mm but need close to that accuracy for measuring and reaming the pins that go into my hinges, I get supplied the pins but they vary from 3.00 to 2.980mm, If I ream the pin hole to 2.985mm I use a 2.995 pin this...

    Latest commission rendered in KT

Your right it isn't hard to fix - have made a mental note to fix in future models. Best IAn

    Latest commission rendered in KT

Very effective Dave - I know the grain on some of mind is not running right but is passable - sometimes I add to the components but mostly to the faces. I like MLT as I thinks it produces metal better and a little noise also is good as I don't want the customer getting something to perfect :)

    Latest commission rendered in KT

MLT Dave - about 150 passes, I think from memory the first one was shorter due to some noise in it. CHeers Ian
