How to prevent a garden deck sub-base from rotting

Deck tape. You put it on top of all the joists and noggins before you lay the decking

    Large Forstner bits (55mm plus)

Not if you break the center out, but that might be awkward 250mm deep

    Marking Mitres?

Yes of course, but I've seen people in the past struggle to measure and mark both mitres on a piece of wood then cut them afterwards, so it's worth pointing out 👍

    Marking Mitres?

Best thing to do is cut a mitre on one end of your timber first, then measure from the point of that mitre the width of the planter plus your 50mm and then mark and cut the second mitre. That way you're not trying to cut two mitres perfectly to the length lines on each piece just the one.

    which way for the blade?

I normally only use my coping saw for cutting scribes on skirting, for this I have the skirting facing me and have the coping saw blade cutting on the push stroke, if I had it cutting on the pull stroke I would either have to work from the back of skirting or risk it tearing out when working...

    Tool Batteries

That's why battery level indicators were invented. Never have to worry about flat batteries. The procore 8ah batteries I've got from bosch really do seem to last forever, even in my grinder or circular saw. I suppose working with corded tools is not so much of an inconvenience in the workshop...

    Looking for a " thingy"

Why not just drill the hole and roundover the edges? A bit of sanding and you're good to go?

Katsu trimmer issue - Bit slipping

Is the bit dropping down? You mentioned the collet was still tight, are you sure the depth adjustment on the machine isn't moving? Put the router on the bench with the plunge locked and see if you can push the machine into the base

    Drywall screwdriver gun

While we're on the subject, can I use my dewalt one for chipboard flooring, fixing plywood etc? Will the senco pz2 bits and screws work in my dewalt gun?

    Drywall screwdriver gun

I've just got a dewalt one, only used it a few times so far and it takes a bit of getting used to. I find it really awkward to use to screw inside corners with it.

    Best way to ease edges?

Not really, a small 1/4" router with a decent bearing guided bit is perfect for this. Once you've tried it you'll be wondering why you bothered with planes. So easy.

Double doors stud frame clearances help

I would add roughly 10mm wiggle room either side and a bit more above aswell so make the opening in the stud... Width: 1620 height: 2050 Any gaps are covered by plasterboard/architrave so give yourself plenty of room. There's nothing worse than trying to squeeze a doorframe into an opening...

Best fixings for Breeze Block (or at least that’s what I call it)

As far as drill bits go, the blue bosch multi construction bits in a cordless combi would be perfect for this.

Anyone have a good tool belt for general carpentry?

This is mine, cheap and comfortable.

Anyone have a good tool belt for general carpentry?

I use a plano one most days, picked it up off ebay brand new for about 8 quid. The only thing I would change is next time I would get one with a metal hammer hoop instead of the fabric one I've got as sometimes it's difficult to get the hammer in without two hands.

    Best way to store planes?

    Pointy end down 👍🤣

    Best way to store planes?

If you're feeling flash you can store them in an egg incubator, the heat keeps the rust at bay and they get turned automatically so you don't need to worry
