    Thicknesser tearout question

Check the dust extraction, if that's blocked, you'll get a rubbish finish

    Display cabinet full

Looks good, can't help thinking the shelves should be a bit closer together though so the cabinet looks more full.

    Charnwood W650 Table Saw

I've got a w650, had it 2 years now probably. I've snapped most of the plastic levers on it, and it's got a reoccurring fault with the tilt mechanism, there's a circlip which keeps popping out of the shaft when trying to get the saw back from 45 degrees, I've changed the shaft and the circlip a...

    Cupboard lock

The only trouble with the ones in your link is your hole drilling will have to be spot on, with mine there's a bit of wiggle room because the fronts got a lip.

    Cupboard lock

I've used these in the past.. You'll have to fix them either top or bottom of the door though http://m.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/produc ... ted/145525 The ones you have linked to look like a neater solutions though.

18mm MRMDF, make a box with three sides to fit over the pipes, scribe the back two edges into the wall. Screw some battens to the wall then fix the box to those.

    Terminating an electric cooker

Ah right didn't know that.. nearly every oven I have changed ( I work for a landlord so do bits and bobs of everything) has been connected that way without any crimps. Maybe next time I'll crimp them (probably not).

    Terminating an electric cooker

All that fuss and you could have just stripped back the flex and connected straight to those connections.

Beginner Looking For Advice On Materials.

They'll be 6 by 4s rough sawn that have been sanded a bit by the look of it. New sleepers would probably do the job..

    fein multimaster

Have you got the right blades? On mine you just lift the lever up, pull the screw out, pop a new blade on (lined up so it fits tight to the head on the screw). Push the screw back in the tool and pull the lever down..

    Basic Corner Desk Build (MDF)

It looks like a free standing desk so battens would be no good. You've made a nice job of it Danny. Not sure about the colour though looks like undercoat.

    Table restoration

You've done a good job putting that back together! It looks like very awkward joints to glue up. Not sure I'm keen on the glass top though, don't fancy looking at other people's knees while I'm eating my tea.

Anyone else having a rubbish week?

That's a really good idea Johnny, I might just do that. I'm not much of a planner though more of a spur of the moment guy. I have got a few kitchens and wardrobes etc in the pipeline so I might start planning them.

Anyone else having a rubbish week?

Well I went back to the hospital today and everything is healing well, I have however got a cataract caused by damage the slate inflicted.Ive got to wait for my wound to heal (approx 3 weeks the doc thought) then go back in for an operation to change the lens in my eye. I had an ultrasound done...

Anyone else having a rubbish week?

The trouble I get with safety glasses is most of the time I'm wearing a dust mask and they steam up easily, are there any options for wearing with dust masks?
