    Jokes!!

Hi at the risk of getting a red card please enjoy the following joke and apologies if it has been posted before. A mother was working in the kitchen, listening to her five-year-old son playing with his new electric train set in the living room. She heard the train stop and her son saying "All...

    Advice on Internal French Doors

Stevie,if the frame is a non rebated frame then you can do as Jake said. However if your frame has a rebate on it then it looks as if you will have to take it out and turn it around. By non rebated I mean a standard double door lining has been used, and ordinary door stop used to shut the doors...

My first attempt at carving (finished, in situ)

Very nice work Mike and all the more difficult to do with out the "proper" tools all credit to you. Just goes to show that certain work can be done without the excuse for all the right tools. As you spent a lot of time crouched down behind them, did you consider trying to incorporate some stumps...

    P.A.R from d.i.y sheds

I'm with Mailee on this one. The timber from the sheds is pretty rubbish it's usually got more knots in it than a fishermans net! Any good timber yard should stock joinery grade timber which costs more but the quality is there to be seen. The only time I use the sheds for timber, is if I need...

    What router should I buy?

Hi,I am sure you will get a lot of different answers to this question but I have the Makita 3612 and the Trend T5 and T11. They are all good at what they do. It depends on what you want yours for? Most mouldings can be done on a smaller router, but if you want to fit one in a router table then...

    Sliding table on TS2500ci

Hi, I have the same saw and it has been fine. I have the 1400mm sliding table which also is fine, but if you can afford it I would go for the 2000mm sliding table. I dont know what the price of these are,but knowing Scheppach its going to cost  Hth, Mark.

    Polar Bears and 3 phase!!!

Thanks for all the help people. Seems that from a cost point of view then stick to single phase! It's a shame because you dont see many Wadkin or the likes that are single phase. Just to clear up one point I am not going self-employed and starting up a new business as I am already a...

    Polar Bears and 3 phase!!!

Went into the workshop today and it must be cold in Norfolk because there was a note on the workbench from the resident bears saying it was to cold to stay there any longer. Anyway the main reason for this post is to ask some of the residents on here who know about electricity (I know...
