    Strongest White Stain Available?

Is this for interior or exterior, and on what is it to be applied to?

    Filler for Oak

+1 for trying that first. Even to the point of dropping one drip of water from your finger into the "ding" and using the very small end of the clothes iron to heat/steam the water away, and "fix" the ding.

    BT Business Advice

If they are carrying it to the car quite happily, perhaps they have not been made aware yet of the PROSIYHCCI regs? (Possible Risk Of Splinters In Your Hands Can Cause Infection) (hammer) I'll get the coat ....

    New sales ploy for DG

True story I heard; think 1980's hard close - without any sales ethics, whatsoever. DG salesman to husband and wife after doing the presentation (2 hours - wife wants to buy, husband does not want to). Salesman eventually turns to the mantle (in desperation) and points to their wedding day...

    Salesman calling

Absolute nonsense. And a good enough reason not to waste any more of your time with that company. As an aside, make sure you do the maths on this regarding financial return. An aqauaintance of mine looked at solar panels in some detail and reckoned it wasn't worth the return on investment. So...

The importance of practising what one preaches

Thanks. I would like to know though, why you could not use 2 pull sticks instead of push sticks. An appropriate featherboard would keep the wood from lifting? i.e. If the fence ends at the gullet of the first tooth, and the 2 PULLsticks are beyond that (further back), why would that not work...

The importance of practising what one preaches

OK - serious question. In this instance that Steve had, what would be the potential problem(s) if the piece was PULLED instead of PUSHED? Discuss?

    Refurbishing kitchen worktops

Thanks for all replies. They have a hardwood edging which (I guess) could be removed and replaced, but not sure of the damage that might cause to the worktop in doing so. The reason for looking to re-furb was that replacing them will also mean an awful LOT of tiling would need to be re-done...

    Refurbishing kitchen worktops

I have about 11 sq m of worktop in my kitchen that needs updating. Rather than the expense of totally replacing it, does anyone know of a laminate (or some other method) that I can fix to the existing worktop? I would prefer to not tile it. I am OK with moving the electric hob and sink...

The pre mixed colours can be found on page 28 and 29 here: http://tinyurl.com/ogo4lsh According to my contact, 18 C 35 would be a L base, and 20 C 37 would be a Z base. Of course, that doesn't mean much if you can't remember which tint you had decided on  Anyways, the workshop looks...
