Advice where to buy good value sandpaper and which type?

I use the paper abrasive belts sold for use on big pad sanding machines, its the most rigid paper backed sandpaper i have found and it doesnt work out very expensive... I should add i use this mainly for removing sharp edges....

sash clamps, dakota or irwin record? + regarding rutlands

I bought two packs of four t-bar clamps from rutlands when they introduced them, ther were £60 for four. quality is good. some of them have a slight sideways bend in them...... to make them better. i had to replace the chains with some heavier guage to tether the pins (kept falling off) and also...

    Mitreing Skirting

ive seen MDF skirting mitred on the internals very effectively....still looking good 5 years on. I think scribing is only necessary on timber boards, or areas/substrates subject to movement.

The goldscrews from screwfix do snap at the heads, the goldscrew plus are alot better! But they do leave alot of metal depost in the hole should you unscrew them. I have used allsorts and get on well with wurth wupo fast they dont snap as easily as they have a soft core. So decent driver bit...

    Most water resistant wood

Accoya is radiata pine, a real wood. Still takes on free water and will discolour exatctly the same as any other timber. Try it and find out. Its very appealing to me. Only downside is the acidity level is near the level of oak so stainless fixings/ ironmongery and a stain blocking primer...

What's the clearest "clear" product you've used for glazing?

Why not use butyl tape? The black look is smart compared to clear silicone once its cone a little bit grubby. Plus butyl tape is the proper way to do it. Look at hodgson sealants methods in their technical library. B5 iirc.

    Internal door problem

Surely hanging one door off the other will not solve the problem of having a full door open into the room when you open both? unless it can fold around the wall or something?

    Good source of sapele please

That lot adds up to roughly .62 of a cubic metre. if you take the cut list as finish sizes, so roughly, £600 inc VAT, obviously there will be a fair bit of waste with some of the sizes you require so i would expect to get that lot as ex timber for roughly £670. Are they finished sizes, and do...

    Internal door problem

I personally would use a rollerball catch in the top of each door, pita to open a bolt each time, especiallly if its a flick over flush bolt. And unless you have one top and bottom having a latch into a door only secured at the top will be a little wobbly.
