That’s the right stuff. If you are fussed about the colour, put the stuff you want for the colour around the edge of your mould, and put the white stuff in the core.

Drop it into place and then set fire to the pallet! :D

I spent a day at Fransham Forge in Norfolk earlier in the year. Managed to get the basics and make a poker, burger flipper, leaf necklace and a dish. The bloke that runs it is a real character ( :D ) and has shepherds huts on site as accommodation.

For me the two most important power tools are a bandsaw and a planer thicknesser, because resawing and dimensioning are the two most tedious and exhausting processes in any project. Once they are out of the way, the fun starts.

Looks like the cup and lid are designed for compressing something, like a tamper. I’m going to guess it’s for producing ground bait pellets that will sink in the water, but I know nothing about fishing!
