    Reducing Fan Speed

    In the past I’ve made a box with two computer case fans in with plastic water waste pipes attached to the top with elbows attached. The box sat on the floor and the pipes went up under the duvet on my wife’s side. It was pretty effective and not too noisy.

    Very simple shelf made from walnut to hold my currently playing record sleeve. Finished with walnut oil naturally :)

    Flat bottomed spokeshaves are my favourite cutting tool. Round bottomed ones are a nightmare! I think it’s because you can adjust the neglect of attack.     Jeez, I was waiting for the contrived punchline to your shaggy dog story! :shock: Scary for your family. Is there an inspectorate for those facilities you can write to? They should be made aware, and you can’t rely on the management of the facility to do it.

    Question about cracks when bending metal

    Tin, lead and copper all bend better than aluminium. But any metal you choose would have to be thought of as a consumable, they will all fatigue at some point.
